Otto Tapped as Chief Executive at Skyline Medical Center
July 13, 2009Stephen A. Otto, a 19-year veteran with HCA has been named the new chief executive officer (CEO) for Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Steves vast knowledge of hospital operations, his leadership experience and ability to work effectively with physicians and staff alike all make him the perfect choice for Skyline Medical Center, said Larry Kloess, president of TriStar Health System. Kloess said Otto has most recently served as the chief operating office for Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and Sunrise Childrens Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past four years. Prior to his move to Las Vegas, Otto was the chief executive officer for River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN for four years, and had previously served for 5 years as the chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer for Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Indiana. Earlier in his career with HCA, Otto served as CFO at both River Park Hospital and at Loganville Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Kentucky. Otto obtained his bachelor of science in Accounting from Indiana State University and a Master in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyen University. Otto is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
